Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is expected to host 3,093 flights and transport 418,000 passengers from April 30 to May 6 -- a year-on-year increase of 50.95 percent and 73.07 percent, respectively.
The airport is located in the city of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
During the break, the flight routes from Guiyang to Shanghai, Beijing, Sanya, Nanjing and Guangzhou are expected to be among the top tourism routes outside the province.
Meanwhile, flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Nanjing and Guangzhou to Guiyang are seen as the most popular routes coming to the city.
During the holidays, the average fare at the airport is 937 yuan ($144.46), an increase of 32.53 percent over 2019.
