Construction of the industrial projects in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone is in full swing, providing a solid foundation for the target and tasks in the first quarter. The zone is situated in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The Guizhou Baoneng New Energy Automobile Industrial Park is a key project of the province, city and economic zone.
It is located in the zone's core with a planned area of about 2,277 mu (151.8 hectares) and a total investment of 16.4 billion yuan ($2.52 billion).
After completion, it will produce new energy cars and new energy SUVs, with a planned annual production capacity of 300,000 units. The facility will promote the structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading of the new energy automobile industry in Guizhou.
The plant's main structure has been completed and construction of the main network, roads and parking lots is being finalized.
In addition, the construction of the Guizhou Zhongdian New Energy Automobile Southwest Industrial Park project is progressing smoothly.
With an investment of about 4 billion yuan, the project has a planned area of approximately 1,500 mu. The first phase will see the construction of a new energy logistics vehicle production line with an annual output of 50,000 vehicles. The project's second phase will mainly produce auto parts.
At present, the main body of the four processing workshops has been completed and entered the equipment installation stage, while the construction of canteens, office buildings and fences is nearing completion. Also, the development of gas supply, water supply and power supply facilities is progressing.
In the future, Shuanglong will focus on the five major industrial chains of new energy vehicles, new-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing and ecological specialty foods. The zone's goal is to gradually form an industrial chain with core competitiveness.
