During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone attracted many high-end, sophisticated and world-class talents to settle.
To further stimulate talent innovation and entrepreneurship, the zone provided high-level talent apartments for more than 100 professionals in the past five years and solved housing problems for more than 1,600 industrial talents.
One provincial management expert, three municipal management experts and eight high-level talents received Guiyang's talent green cards. Also, two overseas talents received funding from the Guizhou Provincial High-level Overseas Talents Innovation Entrepreneurship Project.
Data for 2020 showed that 9,082 high-end talents had settled in the economic zone last year, of which 973 were business management talents, 1,258 were professional and technical talents, and 5,640 were skilled talents. The remaining 1,211 people fell into other talent categories.
In 2021, the zone will increase the introduction of talents by exploring and launching government-school-enterprise cooperation, jointly building training bases for college students and granting financial subsidies to companies that attract professionals from abroad. The goal is to accelerate the construction of a talent development highland.
