An exchange activity was recently held in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province on Dec 1 to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The event was staged for entrepreneurship innovation demonstration bases and for SMEs demonstration platforms.
Representatives from more than 40 demonstration bases, platforms, SMEs and entrepreneurship experts from the city conducted discussions, meetings and training during the activity, which had a theme: "innovation driven, linked development".
Hosted by the Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology, the event aimed to facilitate links between the city's entrepreneurial innovation demonstration bases and SME demonstration platforms. It also aimed to promote the implementation of various beneficial business policies.
In recent years, Guiyang has actively carried out the application and certification of entrepreneurship innovation demonstration bases at all levels, as well as SMEs demonstration platforms.
At present, the city has five national, 13 provincial, and 26 municipal entrepreneurship innovation demonstration bases and four national, 20 provincial, and 55 municipal SME demonstration platforms.
In addition, the city has issued a series of support policies.
To date, 7.8 million yuan ($1.2 million) in base certification subsidies, 11 million yuan in platform certification subsidies and 8.5 million yuan in base operation subsidies have been issued.
