The 2020 annual conference of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) is scheduled to be held on Nov 17-19 at IMTA's headquarters in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, according to information released during a press conference held by IMTA on Nov 11.

The annual conference will focus on the theme of international mountain tourism development in the post-epidemic era. Various activities will be held during the gathering, including an opening ceremony, themed forums, awards presentations, road shows, photographic exhibitions and business communication events.
Envoys and agency representatives from Russia, Switzerland, Germany and Japan will join in the on-site event, while more than a dozen foreign guests from the United Kingdom, France and Austria will participate through video connections.
At the conference, IMTA will sign strategic cooperation agreements with seven authoritative international and domestic tourism organizations, associations, institutions and alliances.

Since its official establishment in 2017, IMTA has been committed to promoting mountain tourism's sustainable development, focusing on establishing a platform for member exchanges and cooperation, industrial development research, evaluation and investment promotion.
It has held the annual conference of the alliance and supporting activities for three consecutive years and has become an essential platform for the coalition to serve its members, develop international cooperation and interact with Guizhou province.
