The Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province is doing an outstanding job in creating a favorable environment for companies to flourish in.

"We are quite satisfied with the atmosphere of industrial development," said Song Chao, deputy general manager of Guizhou Ubtech Robotics Co.

He added that after the company settled in the zone, it not only provided strong policy support, but also arranged for its staff members to provide one-to-one services and help the company get the all the necessary documents required.

The company which mainly produces intelligent inspection robots and educational robots, has established a production plant and research base integrating scientific research, output and sales in the zone.

Since the inception of the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, it focused on creating the best and most efficient business environment possible, to increase its regional competitiveness.

It has sidestepped attracting traditional investment, instead focusing on aviation-oriented leading industries, mid-to-high-end manufacturing and the modern airport service industries, while using modern information technology to strengthen communications with key regions and enterprises.

In 2018, the zone rolled out a discussion paper, canvassing opinions on optimizing and enhancing its business environment. To date, it has successively introduced key projects, including the Guizhou Baoneng New Energy Automobile Industrial Park Project and Emergency Equipment Industrial Park.

"After graduating, I brought my technology back to China to start a business," said Lyu Yun, chairman of Guizhou Yunju Technology Co.

"I learned that Guizhou is developing big data and the supporting policies are relatively complete. I came in 2015 with the mentality of giving it a try.”

Since the company settled in, Shuanglong economic zone has not only waived the rent of office space, but also provided financial support.

In March this year, it also launched 18 measures on optimizing the environment for recruiting, training and developing resident top-class workers and promoting its high-level opening-up.

These addressed the areas of widening recruitment sources, training high-level employees, stimulating innovation in recruitment and entrepreneurship, and improving human resources services.
