With a length of 4,000 meters, the new runway was constructed following 4E standards and can accommodate take-offs and landings by four-engine, long-range wide-body airliners such as Boeing 747 and Airbus A340.
The completion of the runway marks the entry of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport into the ranks of dual-runway airports, which means that the airport will be able to accept more flights and offer a broader range of routes. The transport hub will also have an increased ability to deal with special situations.
