As an important aviation hub in western China, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is an essential engine for promoting the high-quality development of Guizhou's economy.
According to the relevant regulations, before the new runway is officially put into use, it is necessary to test its communication, navigation systems, navigation aid lights and other facilities and equipment, and organize flight calibration and test flight procedures.
After completing the third phase expansion project of the airport in 2021, there will be a 4,000-meter runway and a 3,500-meter runway operating simultaneously.
A 167,000-square-meter T3 terminal building will be constructed, along with a new apron with 62 stands – bringing the airport's total stand count to 114. The airport's third phase development will cover a total of 360,000 square meters.
Upon completion, it will meet an annual passenger throughput of 30 million people, and cargo and mail throughput of 250,000 metric tons. By then, Guizhou's comprehensive three-dimensional transportation system will be more developed.
