The ASEAN session, the first business promotion event of the 2020 Guiyang Import and Export Online Fair, was held in Guiyang -- capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province on June 26 -- according to local officials.
The event was co-organized by Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.
It invited 45 Guizhou companies and 83 ASEAN companies to exhibit over 370 products, including Guizhou's own well-known refined roxburgh rose drink.
During the event, four agreements were signed between Guizhou and ASEAN companies, worth $8.4 million. These included a $280,000 contract to supply durian fruit, a $710,000 contract to supply refined roxburgh rose liquid, a $3.81 million contract to supply auto tires and another $3.6 million contract for the import and export of other goods.
The event was live-streamed online on various mainstream media platforms. Statistics about the proceedings indicated it attracted 2.03 million views.
