Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held an online exchange meeting with eight unicorn companies (startup enterprises valued at over $1 billion) on June 30 via video link.
The meeting aimed to gather the founders of those unicorn companies that intend to develop in the economic zone, to help attract excellent enterprises, and build a unicorn development cluster.
The eight unicorn companies are involved in the fields of artificial intelligence, 5G communication, data storage, VR technology, semantic analysis, smart cities, aviation and education.
The economic zone and the companies communicated one-on-one during the online call. The zone's development direction was introduced to the companies, who were then invited to visit the zone for further consultations.
Utilizing its transportation network, the economic zone will focus on the key areas of the aviation industry, mid-to-high end manufacturing, the next-generation electronic information industry, and the big data industry, to create a leading airport innovation economic zone and an international supply chain hub.
Also, it will attract more companies to settle in and provide them with better services, through follow-up services and cultivation of key companies and major projects.
