Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone signed a strategic agreement on April 18 for a consortium for companies to base operations there, according to officials in the zone, located in Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The officials said the consortium consists of China Railway Development Investment Co, China National Chemical Engineering Co, China Second Metallurgy Group and Guizhou Construction Engineering Group.
Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will develop mid-to-high-end manufacturing and modern integrated service industries, building a group of high-quality industrial function zones and parks.

Officials said the consortium members would leverage their areas of expertise.
This is in areas such as construction management, industrial integration and financing platforms.
They will introduce mid-to-high-end manufacturing industries to the zone. These will include rail transportation equipment manufacturing, high-tech engineering equipment manufacturing, prefabricated construction, as well as modern services industries -- such as cross-border e-commerce, international hospitals and high-end R & D and training centers.
Officials said the zone has significant regional advantages, concentrated resources, obvious policy advantages and broad development prospects.
It will provide the newly resident companies with top quality services, preferential policies and conditions conducive to breed success.
