Guizhou Ensure Pharmaceutical Group and Guiyang Lanwei Disinfection Pharmaceutical Co – both companies based in the Guizhou Shuanglong Economic Development Zone – on Feb 5 donated 100,000 masks and 1 metric ton of disinfectant for prevention and control of the novel coronavirus.
Wang Yongfang, CEO of Guizhou Ensure Pharmaceutical Group said the donated masks were purchased from South Korea and will be distributed to cities and prefectures in southwestern Guizhou province.
At present, the company has also ordered about 2 million masks, and will bring them back to Guiyang before Feb 9.
"The company can produce more than 10 tons of disinfectant every day, which can fully guarantee the first-line supply," said Zhang Shiliang, general manager of Guiyang Lanwei Disinfection Pharmaceutical Co.
Officials of the economic zone said it will further assist the production and supply of medical materials to contribute to the fight against the virus.
