Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guizhou province in Southwest China on Feb 2 issued a notice and decided to set up temporary Party branches at six important checkpoints, for prevention and control of the coronavirus in the zone.
The six checkpoints are located at Longdongbao International Airport, the Yongle Expressway ramp, the Guiyang East Expressway ramp, the Guiyang Qinqi Expressway ramp, Longdongbao Passenger Station and Guilong Avenue.
With the Party branch as the core, the zone will conduct overall planning and coordinate public security, traffic management, medical and health operations, as well as transport to implement joint prevention and control measures.
Guilong Avenue is one of the main entrances and exits of Guiyang's "East Gate", with huge daily traffic volumes. An epidemic prevention and control checkpoint was set up there on Jan 29. More than 13,000 vehicles and 37,000 people were inspected on the day.
