In the wake of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone moved to strengthen its links with Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in southwestern China, to help establish an information sharing mechanism, according to zone officials.
The zone dispatched a working team to the airport to assess the real-time flight situation.
Together with the airport customs, the economic zone checked the temperatures of passengers day and night, and designated hospitality hotels for the medical observation of those with suspected symptoms found at the airport.
Officials said that at present, the airport has completed putting together a master prevention and control plan.
They said the airport is well equipped with 31 professional medical staff, three large far-infrared thermometers, 40 hand-held infrared thermometers and two ambulances.
Once fever patients are found, they can be sent to a designated hospital with a fever clinic for examination and treatment.
