The social services bureau of Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone led hospitals in the zone to form a medical poverty alleviation team to visit Fengting village, Luodian county, Dec 30.
A continuous stream of villagers sought consultations at temporary clinics. In addition to the free consultations, the medical team also went to people's homes to conduct free physical examinations and diagnoses for villagers with limited mobility.
The team not only provided free consultations and promoted health knowledge, but also took cotton clothes and quilts to the poverty-stricken villagers.

After the free consultations, the team held a symposium with Fengting village health center, and reached an assistance agreement.
According to the agreement, Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone will help with the construction of a village health center at Fengting, arrange experts and volunteers to carry out health knowledge promotion and provide funding assistance.
Tang Youyu, the head of the health division of the zone's social services bureau, said the hospitals in the zone will actively implement their social responsibility, and provide more and better medical services to grassroots areas.
