Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have introduced a range of measures this year to create more employment opportunities and help young professionals settle and build their careers locally. They include campus recruitment, internships, affordable rental housing support and specialized job fairs.
The region now has a talent pool of 1.63 million. By expanding job opportunities, improving housing conditions, and providing career development platforms, Guiyang and Gui'an are working to create a more supportive environment for talent.
So far in 2026, more than 1,000 enterprises and public institutions from Guiyang and Gui'an have visited universities across China to recruit graduates. This summer, more than 100 students from over 10 universities took part in study and internship programs in the region, learning about local industries and employment opportunities through site visits, discussions and practical experience.
Meanwhile, the Zhuchao Apartment's Luchongguan branch – one of the more affordable rental units in the area – opened in September, offering 273 fully furnished units equipped with household appliances, as well as shared facilities including a gym and study rooms. All units in the first batch were rented out shortly after being listed.
Guiyang and Guian New Area have now secured 75,000 housing units for talent, with support including free accommodation, rental subsidies and home-buying incentives.
The region also holds job fairs for mid- and senior-level professionals, offering positions in business management, technological research and development, and advanced technical skills, enabling employers and candidates to discuss specific job requirements and career opportunities in greater depth.
