Graduates choose to stay in Guiyang for employment, entrepreneurship

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), a total of 572,700 college graduates found jobs or started businesses in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, including 76,200 this year alone.

Since launching an initiative in December 2021 to encourage college graduates to stay in Guiyang for employment and entrepreneurship, Guiyang and Gui'an have continued to deepen industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation while improving their employment and entrepreneurship service system.

Guiyang and Gui'an have strengthened cooperation among local government, universities, and enterprises, signing cooperation agreements with the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and Guizhou University.

This year, 136,600 jobs suitable for college graduates have been made available, while 422 recruitment events have been held, offering 327,800 job opportunities.

Additionally, Guiyang and Gui'an have also established 29 business incubators, issued 330 million yuan ($49.17 million) in guaranteed startup loans, and supported 306 entrepreneurial projects.
