University students explore career opportunities in Guiyang

A city study tour for students considering careers in Guiyang, Guizhou province, was held in the city on Aug 6. A total of 100 students from more than 10 universities, including Beijing Sport University, Northwest A&F University, and Guizhou University, explored Guiyang's development and career opportunities through site visits, industry experiences, and symposium discussions.

During the event, the students visited the Guiyang Urban and Rural Planning Exhibition Hall, the Exchange and Experience Center of the National Big Data (Guizhou) Comprehensive Pilot Zone, and Guizhou Science City. 

They learned about Guiyang's urban planning, digital economy, and technological innovation, and spoke with representatives of technology companies as well as young entrepreneurs about talent needs and employment and entrepreneurship policies.

At a business-focused discussion session, relevant departments answered students' questions about policies supporting university graduates who choose to work and start businesses in Guiyang, including housing subsidies, employment assistance, and entrepreneurship support.

The program combines a one-day city study tour with one month of internships. Some participants have already begun their internships at local enterprises and public institutions in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area. 

Moving forwards, Guiyang and Gui'an will continue providing job matching, policy consultation, and internship opportunities to help more young talent build their careers in the city.
