A visit to a service station in Yunyan district on June 2 revealed a steady stream of job information displayed on electronic screens. Workers can simply scan a QR code to submit their training needs, and the local human resources department then connects them with free skills-training providers to help them find employment.

The station is equipped with convenient facilities, including ginger tea, hot water, Wi-Fi, phone charging services, and first-aid supplies. It also offers job matching, skills training, and employment guidance services.

Mr. Ruan, a beneficiary aged 38, arrived in Guiyang without stable employment. After receiving assistance from the station, he secured a temporary position with a logistics company. Thanks to his strong performance, he has since become a full-time employee, earning a stable monthly income of 5,500 yuan ($813) to 6,500 yuan.
Another beneficiary, 62-year-old Ms Chen, transitioned from irregular temporary work to a stable housekeeping position through the station's job-matching services.
Since it began operations in December 2024, the station has served more than 36,300 workers. It has organized five recruitment events involving 81 companies, released around 26,000 job opportunities, helped 4,012 people secure flexible employment, and assisted 349 individuals in finding stable jobs.
