The 2026 Guizhou Vocational College Skills Competition was held at Guiyang Vocational and Technical College in Guiyang from May 22 to 24. A total of 92 contestants from 46 teams representing 24 higher vocational institutions across Guizhou province competed in challenges focused on core power battery technologies and industrial applications.
The competition adopted a two-person team format, with scores weighted at 15 percent for theoretical knowledge and 85 percent for practical skills. The practical section covered four major tasks: battery cell manufacturing processes through virtual simulation, battery module assembly, battery system assembly, and inspection of performance and quality and fault diagnosis – all designed to simulate real-world industrial production procedures.
