A China-Europe freight train loaded with Geely Auto knocked-down kits pulled out of the Guiyang International Land Port on Aug 5. Within 10 days, it passed through the Alashankou Port and headed to Belarus. This marks the 12th China-Europe freight train dispatched by Guiyang International Land Port this year.

In August 2022, Guiyang International Land Port opened. With coordinated support from the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) and Zhucheng Customs, the port has developed a comprehensive logistics network connecting all four directions. China-Europe and China-Central Asia freight trains provide connections across Eurasia; China-Laos Railway links the port with ASEAN and RCEP markets; the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor provides access to the Beibu Gulf; and Guizhou-Guangdong Railway integrates the region into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

From its opening through July of this year, Guiyang International Land Port handled a total of 698 trains and 43,572 TEUs. In June of this year, the first returning China-Europe/Central Asia freight train brought imported goods into Guizhou, establishing a two-way flow of trade in which "Guizhou goods go global and foreign goods come in."

Through July of this year, the freight volume handled by Guiyang International Land Port surged by 107.72 percent year-on-year, while container throughput skyrocketed by 166.91 percent, with daily operational volume and yard utilization both hitting record highs since the port's opening.
