Guiyang Free Trade Zone hosted a conference to boost Guizhou's cross-border used car industry on Aug 11, bringing together over 30 local auto dealers, exporters, industry insiders, and experts to explore pathways for high-quality growth.

During the event, organizers walked participants through export procedures and regulations in key overseas markets, introduced digital and logistical support tools, and showcased major projects such as the Lagos Overseas Auto City in Nigeria and the Nansha Port Warehouse in Guangdong province. These initiatives offer local companies fresh pathways to expand globally and integrate cross-border supply chains.

Since its opening in 2023, the China (Guiyang) Used Car Export Base, a crucial hub for Guizhou's used car exports, has been upgraded. It now offers a comprehensive industry ecosystem that includes vehicle sourcing, inspection and certification, financial backing, logistics and customs clearance, overseas sales, and after-sales service.

With nine overseas operation centers established across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and West Africa, its customer network spans over 80 countries and regions. By the end of July, the base had exported a total of 4,419 vehicles valued at 581 million yuan ($86.23 million).

The conference showcased the base's core strengths including park facilities, full-process export services, cross-border logistics, and digital systems, while serving as a networking and matchmaking platform.

By fostering resource-sharing and collaboration between government and industry players, the conference aims to build industrial synergy and drive high-quality, scaled growth in Guizhou's cross-border used car export sector.
