Two trucks loaded with Chinese cabbages from Weining, Bijie, rolled into a facility run by Guizhou Wanhui International Trade Co in Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) on May 18. After being cleaned, processed, and packaged, this 18-metic-ton batch of cabbages will be exported to the Middle East by the end of the month via combined sea-land transport.

With its own overseas networks alongside the functional policy advantages of the zone, the streamlined customs clearance measures introduced by Zhucheng Customs, and the platform capabilities of the Guizhou International Cargo Consolidation Center, Guizhou Wanhui International Trade Co quickly made its mark.

By 2025, it had exported local specialties like potatoes, ginger, garlic, carrots, and navel oranges to multiple countries worldwide. This generated a total turnover of 240 million yuan ($35.39 million) and an export value of 18.32 million yuan, drawing widespread industry attention.

"We are grateful to Guiyang FTZ for helping us secure orders. Their support has boosted our brand awareness and market influence," said Wu Longhua, general manager of Guizhou Wanhui International Trade Co.

Wu is not only doing everything it can to open up international sales channels for the businesses, but he is also sharing standardized planting expertise and promoting contract farming. His goal is to build a fast track for Guizhou's agricultural specialties to enter the global market, helping more local brands export products abroad.
