Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) and Guiyang International Land Port are joining forces through a new "zone-port integration" initiative that will enable these two economic gateways, separated by just 1.4 kilometers, to form a powerful partnership and create a high-speed corridor for global freight.
By pre-clearing security, linking the zone and port, and allowing direct loading upon arrival, this initiative expands the port's reach and creates a faster, cheaper, and more reliable international trade corridor.
Guiyang Customs has also established a multi-functional inspection center within Guiyang FTZ, bringing the land port's railway extension under the zone's supervision. This allows customs and railway authorities to conduct joint inspections on-site. Now, loading, consolidation, warehousing, shipping, and customs checks happen simultaneously.
As Guizhou's core gateway to the world, Guiyang International Land Port operates a four-way rail network, including the China-Europe, China-Laos, Guizhou-Guangdong, and New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor routes.
It also collaborates with coastal seaports to function as combined ports, enabling seamless container shipping. Under this innovative integrated model, overall customs clearance times have been slashed by 50 percent, shortening total transit times by three to five days.
