The liaison office of the Guiyang Municipal People's Government in Shanghai said on Nov 11 that during the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) it connected with 105 companies.
The 7th CIIE was held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10. Seizing the opportunity, the liaison office made strong efforts to attract investment.
Lu Shaoyun, head of the comprehensive department of the liaison office, said that the expo provided an opportunity to follow industry trends and connect with companies.
During the expo, the liaison office focused on the equipment and technology exhibition area and the food and agricultural products exhibition area, aiming to obtain more project clues, establish meaningful connections, and attract projects.
Data shows that during this year's expo, the liaison office connected with 105 companies, including 21 outstanding companies and 49 foreign-funded companies, uncovering a total of 12 investment clues in areas such as high-end equipment manufacturing, modern agriculture, new energy, and modern commerce.
For example, Shanghai Goodfarmer Top Veg Agricultural Development Co stated that it has been purchasing vegetables like screw peppers in Guiyang for a long time and selling them nationwide.
The company hoped to establish closer relationships with relevant departments and companies in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in the future and engage in more comprehensive cooperation.
Next, the liaison office will enhance communications with companies beyond the expo, striving to implement a number of high-quality projects.
