On Oct 11, a truck loaded with high-quality potatoes left the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The potatoes were transported via road to Vietnam through Pingxiang Port, marking the first independent potato export for a Guizhou company.
Guizhou Wanhui International Trade Co, a Guiyang FTZ company, is an agricultural export enterprise that integrates planting, processing, and warehousing based on local agricultural resources.
The company's target markets include Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Netherlands, and the Middle East.
Guiyang FTZ, Zhucheng Customs, and Guizhou Shangchu International Supply Chain Co provided guidance to improve the company's hardware and software conditions and application materials.
In just one day, Guiyang Customs completed an on-site inspection and approved the company's grain (potato) storage and processing registration for export.
Based on Guizhou's agricultural products, such as potatoes, tea, vegetables, and fruits, Guiyang FTZ has introduced several agricultural processing and export enterprises. The zone has also coordinated customs, taxation, market supervision, and other departments to provide comprehensive services.
It strives to build a provincial agricultural export base and help more characteristic agricultural products from Guizhou go global, assisting companies to expand into international markets.
