In recent years, Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been committed to nurturing university graduates into manufacturing, big data, and foreign trade experts.
The fourth phase of the "Online Project" training program for foreign trade talent was recently launched at the Guizhou (Guiyang) cross-border e-commerce industrial park.
Some 98 students from the 2023 international economics and trade major of Guizhou University of Commerce participated in the training.
This training invited senior professionals in foreign trade and entrepreneurs as mentors to provide in-depth analysis and practical exercises on current hot topics, market trends, and operational management in the field of foreign trade.
Addressing the challenges in attracting and nurturing cross-border e-commerce professionals, Guiyang FTZ is exploring a collaborative talent development model between universities and enterprises.
So far, Guiyang FTZ has signed strategic cooperation agreements on the attraction and cultivation of e-commerce talent with 13 universities, including Beijing Technology and Business University and Guizhou University of Commerce.
Guiyang FTZ is currently expanding talent recruitment channels through online livestreaming, holding job affairs at universities, and seeking employment opportunities among enterprises.
This year, the zone has attracted 801 talents of various types and launched a foreign trade talent training program, which has cultivated over 2,000 talents.
