A delegation from the College of Inland Open Economics at Guizhou University of Commerce visited Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 15.
Both sides discussed the deepening of integration among government, universities, and enterprises, jointly training talent related to the open economy, co-developing practical course systems, building foreign trade incubation platforms, and promoting employment.
The delegation visited the Guiyang International Land Port, the China (Guiyang) second-hand vehicle export base, and the Guizhou (Guiyang) cross-border e-commerce industrial park to learn about the development of the open economy in Guiyang FTZ and the construction of off-campus practical bases.
During the meeting with the delegation, Guiyang FTZ introduced its current work in developing the open economy, its foreign trade talent training program, its product selection and cultivation center, and the local employment situation.
The College of Inland Open Economics provided an overview of what it sought from the partnership, expressing a desire to enhance government-university-enterprise collaboration through the building of joint mechanisms, development of platforms, industry-university cooperation, and the creation of think tanks.
Both parties agreed to jointly cultivate a group of skilled professionals proficient in international economics and trade, international business, business English, and cross-border e-commerce.
Moving forward, Guiyang FTZ will build a comprehensive cooperation system for internship, employment, and industry-education integration, thereby boosting the development of open economy talent and providing talent support for the development of an open economy in the province.
