The Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held an investment attraction event in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 13.
During the event, officials from Guiyang and Guiyang FTZ introduced the zone and signed investment agreements with Zhejiang Forward Information Industry Co to build the Yiwu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Guiyang FTZ.
The industrial park will specialize in the smart manufacturing of small commodities, such as cultural and creative products, clothing accessories, hardware products, and outdoor supplies.
The project will consist of standard factories, warehousing, and headquarters office buildings. The first phase will cover about 110 mu (7.33 hectares), while the second phase is expected to cover about 200 mu, aiming to attract at least 50 companies.
According to Yao Feiyang, director of the Guiyang FTZ Administrative Committee, Yiwu holds a core position in the global small commodity market and plays an important role in China's and global commercial sectors.
As the first comprehensive bonded zone in Guizhou and a national-level open and innovation platform, Guiyang FTZ aims to serve Guizhou's open economic development and become an inland open economic hub.
The Yiwu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park will meet the needs of Guiyang FTZ's enterprises to expand their market presence and extend their supply chains. Guiyang FTZ will provide entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators with high-quality services, ensuring that businesses can be started, funded, and developed with confidence in the zone.
