A delegation from the Guiyang bureau of commerce and the Shanghai Hualue Think-tank visited the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) on April 24. The purpose of the visit was to conduct research on the high-quality development of the hub and open economies.
The delegation embarked on a comprehensive tour of Guiyang International Land Port, an experiential store showcasing cross-border e-commerce's "online-to-offline" model, and the China (Guiyang) Second-hand Car Export Base. Through these tours, they gained firsthand insights into the zone's economic landscape.
During the symposium that took place after the tour, representatives from Guiyang FTZ provided a detailed overview of the zone's open economy policies, industrial park construction, and port development, as well as the challenges encountered in enhancing opening-up efforts.
The Guiyang bureau of commerce expressed its desire to strengthen collaboration with the Shanghai Hualue Think-tank, leveraging their expertise and resources in foreign trade and investment promotion to address shortcomings and enhance the development of Guiyang FTZ.
The Shanghai Hualue Think-tank commended Guiyang FTZ's efforts in fostering an open economy. It vowed to seek support from provincial and municipal authorities to tackle the existing challenges and bottlenecks that are hindering the development of the zone.
