The Jijun Optoelectronic Display Manufacturing Industrial Park in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ), located in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, has reported that 80 percent of its main buildings have completed construction.
Scheduled for completion in July of this year, the park's research and development office building, cleanrooms, and specialized semiconductor workshops are currently under construction.
With acceptance anticipated by July and equipment calibration slated for August, the production lines are primed to commence operation by early September.
Spanning a land area of approximately 65,000 square meters, and boasting a built-up area of 100,000 square meters, this project promises to bolster Guizhou's and Guian's competitive edge in the high-end optoelectronic display manufacturing sector.
The industrial park envisions a comprehensive product portfolio spanning the entire display industry value chain, projecting an annual output value of 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion) upon full operation.
Tan Qingyuan, general manager of Guizhou Jijun Semiconductor Technology Co, expressed his optimism regarding the project's relocation from Shenzhen to Guizhou.
By leveraging the logistical support and bonded processing policies within Guiyang FTZ, the enterprise anticipates substantial alleviation of operational constraints.
With three prospective enterprises already expressing interest in settling in and one formalized contract signed, the industrial park anticipates bustling activity post-completion. Tan remains optimistic about achieving a staggering $2.5 billion in import and export volume annually, signaling a promising trajectory for the region's economic prosperity.
