The ceremony for the construction projects in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) for the first quarter of 2024 was held on March 4.
A total of 16 projects began construction on that day, with a total investment of 1.86 billion yuan ($258.65 million) and an annual planned investment of 567 million yuan for 2024. These projects involve areas such as new industrialization, international trade and digital economy, and infrastructure construction.
Among them, there are seven new industrialization projects, with a total investment of 1.08 billion yuan; six international trade and digital economy projects, with a total investment of 304 million yuan; and three infrastructure construction projects, with a total investment of 478 million yuan.
One of the projects is a comprehensive logistics base of Sinotrans Logistics Co. It will cover an area of 139.5 mu (9.3 hectares) and will be built into a comprehensive modern logistics supply chain center.
After the project is completed, it will center on Guiyang FTZ and Dulaying Railway Station, utilize the zone's resources to carry out cross-border logistics and related trade agency businesses, and establish a comprehensive service platform to serve foreign trade enterprises.
