Officials of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) and Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a meeting with the Guiyang branch of China Unicom on Aug 25.
During the meeting, China Unicom introduced its capabilities in digital economic development, while relevant departments from the Guiyang FTZ and Baiyun district explained the current status of digital economic development. They engaged in in-depth discussions on potential business collaborations.
As a major service provider for digital information infrastructure, a contributor to digital China construction, and a pioneer in digital technological innovation, China Unicom will focus on the digital economy and upgrade its development path.
Through regional cooperation, Baiyun district will become more hi-tech by enhancing the intelligence of urban management and public services.
The Guiyang FTZ will rely on policies to prioritize the development of digital trade, provide cross-border data services and cross-border computing support, and take full advantage of its role as a high-level gateway for opening-up to become a pilot area for high-quality inland open economies.
