In order to further deepen economic and trade exchanges with ASEAN countries, a delegation from the Guiyang Free Trade Zone in Southwest China's Guizhou province visited Bangkok, Thailand from June 7 to 10.
The delegation visited the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, the Thai New Energy Vehicle Association, the Thai Thammasat Business School, and local industrial parks.
Gao Sheng, director of the Guiyang FTZ Administrative Committee, introduced in detail the zone's geographical advantages, development, functions, policies, and government support.
The Chinese Embassy in Thailand stated that they will help promote economic and trade cooperation between Guiyang and Thailand. The Guiyang FTZ can make use of its strong logistics channels and accelerate the development of the energy storage industry, cosmetic medical industry, and cross-border e-commerce to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Thailand.
During their visit, the delegation gained an understanding of the current international trade situation and the political and economic development status of ASEAN countries.
They believe that ASEAN is still a key region for Guizhou to strengthen its international trade partnerships and expand international trade cooperation. They stated that they will learn from Thailand's development experience, focus on cultivating advantageous industries in the Guiyang FTZ, developing international markets, creating new trade models, and carrying out international exchanges in science, technology and talent.
