The first pilot train using the fast customs clearance model of the Guiyang-Guangzhou railway and sea intermodal transport system successfully departed from Guiyang International Dry Port in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 17.
After arriving at Nansha Port in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, the shipment will be transported to Japan. This is an effective measure Guiyang Customs took to continuously explore ways to support Guizhou's economic opening up and an example of close cooperation between Guizhou and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The opening of the Guiyang-Guangzhou railway and sea intermodal transport system's fast customs clearance model enables import and export companies to experience the convenience of international trade business fully.
This model optimizes multiple processes, such as customs clearance and port allocation, using Nansha Port as the hub port and Guiyang International Dry Port as the branch line port.
Enterprises can load sea-transport containers directly at the factory, allowing them to flexibly arrange the shipment cycle, effectively solve inventory pressures, and reduce transportation costs.
Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang Customs has strengthened its cooperation with Guangzhou Customs, taking the lead in exploring and promoting the "inland-port" customs clearance model nationwide.
