An optoelectronic industrial park project was launched in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ), Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 25, injecting new momentum into the zone's new-type industrialization initiative.
The project was invested in by Shenzhen Optoelectronics Tech Co, with a fund of $210 million yuan. It is scheduled to be put into use in July, 2024, and is estimated to achieve $240 million in export value.
"In recent years, the zone has been focusing on a higher level of opening-up, giving full play to its policy advantages. It has also been enhancing its core industrial chains in storage battery manufacturing, chip packaging, and testing. The new project will further strengthen the zone's competence in the high-end optoelectronic display field," said Yao Feiyang, Party secretary of the zone.
