The Guiyang Free Trade Zone and Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a discussion meeting on integrated development on April 7.
Yao Feiyang, secretary of the Party working committee of the Guiyang FTZ, stated at the meeting that as a main urban area of Guiyang, Wudang has rich resource advantages and strong development potential.
The Guiyang FTZ is a hub for industrial development. It was the first comprehensive free trade zone in the province, and is one of the province's "1+9" national open innovation platforms.
At the meeting, departments of the Guiyang FTZ and Wudang introduced future plans for the Huoshipo integrated industrial park. The park successfully completed construction in 2021 by making use of the advantages and various development strengths of both locations.
To build the park, it is necessary to establish a joint meeting system, coordinate regional planning, promote projects, and support infrastructure construction. Currently, the Guiyang FTZ is providing preferential policies for the park.
Wang Mingming, secretary of the Party committee of Wudang district, emphasized the need to integrate resources at the meeting. Wang also stated that both sides need to achieve high-quality economic and social development, and make progress in opening-up.
The Party and government leaders from the Guiyang FTZ and Wudang district then visited the Huoshipo integrated industrial park, Fulian Precision Electronics (Guiyang) Co, Guizhou Xiangheng Packaging Co, and oversaw the development progress of the Guiyang International Land Port.
