Guiyang Free Trade Zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is prioritizing new industrialization and striving to achieve rapid economic development.

In 2023, Guiyang FTZ aims to expand the scale of key and characteristics industries, aiming to achieve a total industrial output value of more than 1.2 billion yuan ($173.94 million) and an added-value growth rate of more than 20 percent for industries above a designated size.

This year, Guiyang FTZ is targeting areas of chip packaging and testing of energy storage batteries, module integration and surface mount technology processing.

It will support the implementation and operation of key projects such as Hong Kong Xun Juan Technology Co's chip industrial park and Shenzhen China Bo Group's semiconductor project.

It will also support enterprises such as Foxconn and Guizhou Qimingxin Technology Co in improving their product R&D, market extension and business management.

In the meantime, Guiyang FTZ will explore the existing enterprises and projects involving small household appliances and end products, targeting a total industrial output value of more than 750 million yuan.

In terms of equipment manufacturing, Guiyang FTZ will rely on the city's new energy battery and material industry to accelerate the construction of related projects, and encourage the development of aerospace parts manufacturing.

Relying on Guiyang international dry port, Guiyang FTZ will also attract projects related to pet food and similar products, dried vegetables and fruit, juice, raw grain processing, raw grain and oil import, and rotational storage.
