During the first five months of this year, the Guiyang Free Trade Zone in Southwest China's Guizhou province achieved 3.1 billion yuan ($457.9 million) in imports and exports, an increase of 232.8 percent year-on-year, according to Guiyang Customs.
In that period, Guiyang FTZ's exports were valued at 1.95 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 302.3 percent, and imports were valued at 1.16 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 157.7 percent.
Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang FTZ has been optimizing its business environment and providing one-stop services for companies.
It has enhanced cooperation with logistics companies to improve the zone’s supply chain system and provide more opportunities for companies to go global.
It has also established a provincial foreign trade service platform, which has helped companies export $451.41 million in goods and maintained the zone's rapid growth in imports and exports.
