In 2021, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province achieved 471.1 billion yuan ($71.33 billion) in GDP, with an annual average increase of 7.6 percent.

Guiyang has a total of 260 kilometers of high-speed rail, making it one of China's top 10 high-speed railway hubs. Its special freight trains can transport goods to Hong Kong and Europe directly and quickly.

Guiyang and Guian are also engaging in trade with more than 190 countries and areas. They are home to 3,972 registered foreign trade companies, including 18 companies with a foreign trade value of more than $100 million each.
