At the 21st China International Fair for Investment & Trade, or CIFIT – held in East China's Fujian province on Sept 8-11 – the Guiyang Free Trade Zone from Southwest China's Guizhou province reportedly enjoyed success in the wake of two investment promotion meetings it held.
The meetings aimed to promote the Guiyang FTZ's electronics information manufacturing and trade, as well as its international logistics and supply chain industries.
Officials from Guizhou and Fujian's port city of Xiamen, as well as representatives of industrial associations and Xiamen companies, attended the event.
Xu Biao, member of the Party Working Committee of the Guiyang FTZ and deputy secretary of the Guiyang FTZ Administrative Committee, gave a talk on the zone's competitive advantages and invited entrepreneurs to invest there.
The 21st CIFIT set up 14 exhibition areas covering a total of 110,000 square meters. It invited countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as members of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
The fair featured artificial intelligence, the smart city, equipment manufacturing and Fujian's high-performing industries. More than 100 countries and regions, 800 commerce and trade groups and 5,000 companies attended, both online and offline.
