The second-stage project of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) was approved on July 1.
Approval was given by Guiyang customs together with Guizhou's development and reform commission, finance department, natural resource department, commerce department, provincial tax service, market supervision and administration, and foreign exchange sub-office.
The assessment team listened to the Guiyang FTZ's reports, carried out field inspections, and held meetings to examine the infrastructure, supervision facilities, and other facilities of the Guiyang FTZ's second-stage project.
In the future, the Guiyang FTZ will continue to take part in the Belt and Road Initiative and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, promote high-quality foreign trade development, and become a special area under customs supervision.
As a key platform for the development of an open economy, the Guiyang FTZ has played a role in boosting Guiyang's foreign trade growth since its first-stage project began operating.
The Guiyang FTZ will have complete infrastructure, modern logistics, and policy systems, and will work to accelerate the construction of supporting facilities and attract more investment.
The Guiyang government will also support the Guiyang FTZ in terms of project construction, finance, policy, and innovation.
