Guiyang's intl logistics port begins operation

The Dulaying international land-sea logistics port in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially began operating as a freight train carrying 1,650 metric tons of aluminous soil headed to Guangxi's Qinzhou port on April 30.

The port is located in the geographic center of Guiyang's Guanshanhu, Yunyan, Nanming, Baiyun and Wudang districts. With access to major railways such as the Shanghai-Kunming railway, Sichuan-Guizhou railway, and Guizhou-Guangxi railway, the port serves as a hub of China's railway network.

Construction of the port was divided into two phases. Phase-one construction started in 2018 and was completed in 2020, covering an area of 910 mu (60.67 hectares) and receiving 1.38 billion yuan ($214.19 million) in infrastructure investment.

The port's phase one area can transport 5 million tons of freight per year. Located in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone, it can realize highly efficient customs clearance, reduce logistics costs, and help promote Guizhou's products around the world.

In the future, the port will become the core of Guiyang's logistics network be used for storage, cold chain, bonded trade, e-commerce, distribution processing, logistics information, and urban distribution.
