Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ), in the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will focus on the development of cross-border e-commerce to accelerate the construction of its comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zone, Guiyang FTZ officials said on Jan 20.
The zone will set up offline shopping malls for import commodities in transportation hubs and major scenic spots - including Qingyan Ancient Town, Huangguoshu Waterfalls and Wanfenglin Scenic Area - to explore the development model of "cross-border e-commerce and tourism".
The zone will also focus on the construction of a system to maximize the overall benefit of cross-border e-commerce enterprises. A large number of cross-border e-commerce enterprises in the zone will be transformed and upgraded to explore new business opportunities in commodity sales and supply. Meanwhile, the zone will establish an incubation base for cross-border e-commerce training, live-streaming and business incubation.
A trade fair for cross-border e-commerce commodities will be held to provide a convenient, fast and safe sales platform for residents, giving them a chance to learn more about cross-border e-commerce as well as import and export bonded business.
