In mapping out the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for Guiyang and Guian integrated free trade zones, Luan Yan, director of the managing committee of the two integrated free trade zones expressed her determination to accelerate the construction of an open industrial system, as well as to build new engines for the export-oriented economy in Guiyang and Guian.
Seen as successful examples of inland opening-up pilot economic zones, Guiyang and Guian have been playing crucial roles in boosting foreign trade, attracting foreign investment, and promoting industrial transition for the past five years, commented Luan.
The two zones will grasp huge momentums of foreign trade, including the Belt and Road Initiative and the new western land-sea corridor, said Luan, to participate actively in the country's dual circulation strategy, in which the domestic market is the mainstay, while domestic and foreign markets complement each other.
In addition, cross-border e-commerce has been and will continue to be another new engine for the local economy. New innovations in cross-border electronic business, as well as new marketing patterns in promoting products will be tried in 2021.
The two zones have already established e-commerce enterprise clusters, which are home to projects by internet giants like Huawei, Tencent, and Foxconn. Built in 2020, Dulaying International Land-sea Logistics Port has made it possible for cross-border goods to reach their destination within 16 hours.
