Guiyang Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau hosted a special meeting to support entrepreneurship among veterans on Jan 6, in Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Two enterprises established by veterans - Guiyang Litian Trard Technology Co and Guizhou Tongben Food Co - detailed the difficulties they've experienced in loans, tax relief and product promotion.

During the meeting, more than 50 representatives from relevant departments and enterprises - including the local taxation bureau and the Bank of Guizhou - answered their questions and gave suggestions.

Li Hai, deputy director of Guiyang Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau, asked all participating bodies to improve innovation and entrepreneurship services for veterans, which will contribute to the city's social and economic development as well as to rural revitalization.

In recent years, Guiyang FTZ has made efforts to help veterans find jobs and start businesses. Guiyang Litian Trard Technology Co in the zone won the second prize at the first session of the National Veterans Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition in November.
