Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province is expected to welcome two major new projects with a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan ($167.95 million), according to news released by the provincial investment promotion bureau in November.

According to the province's project catalogue, the Bailian outlets commercial complex is a modern commerce and trade project. With a planned area of 10.67 hectares and total investment of 800 million yuan, the project will be built into a commercial complex complete with commodity exhibition and sales, catering, entertainment and business.

The railway port development and construction project is a modern logistics project with a planned area of 23.33 hectares and a total investment of 300 million yuan. This development will see the construction and renovation of residential communities, hospitals and schools, all within the scope of the project.

Located in Baiyun district, Guiyang FTZ is a modern service industry cluster with bonded characteristics. The zone is only 4 kilometers away from Guiyang East Railway Station and is close to Guiyang Metro Line 2. Its superior location and smooth transport systems make the zone an ideal place for investment.
