Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ), in the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has invested 280,800 yuan ($42,713) in setting up 40 comprehensive service stations for outdoor workers to rest at during their work breaks, according to officials from the zone's trade unions.

The service stations feature a unified look, appropriate locations, well-equipped facilities, well-suited functions and standardized management systems. They are equipped with a variety of basic facilities such as tables, chairs, water fountains and medical kits.

Officials said the construction of service stations is a practical project to improve people's livelihoods and also an innovative measure to take care of outdoor workers including cleaners, builders and taxi drivers.

In the future, the zone will further expand the coverage of its service stations to allow more outdoor workers to feel the warmth of the people and the city.
