A forum with the theme of "safe production" was held on Oct 14 in the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province by the Guiyang Municipal Emergency Bureau and the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ), according to local officials.
Officials said the forum was held to further strengthen awareness of production safety in non-coal mines as well as in industrial and trade enterprises.
Hu Zhengkang, deputy director of the Guiyang Municipal Emergency Bureau, urged all production and business units to make full use of big data technology to further strengthen safe production efforts.
Dulaying international land-sea logistics port is a good example of an enterprise's use of big data technology in safe production. The project has invested more than 200,000 yuan ($29,900) in building up a VR safety experience hall and setting up 18 safety experience programs since it started construction in December 2018. Officials said VR technology can simulate safety accidents in a real-world scenario to get workers to recognize the importance of safe production.
It's been reported that the Dulaying international land-sea logistics port will be used as a logistics hub for the New International Land-Sea Corridor. The project is expected to be completed in October 2020 and will have an annual freight volume of 3 million tons.
It is located in the Guiyang FTZ, from where cargo can be transported to cities across China utilizing the Shanghai-Kunming railway, the Sichuan-Guizhou railway, the Guizhou-Guangxi railway and the Guiyang-Guangzhou railway.
