Top officials from the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ), which is located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, visited the Guizhou-based Ensure Group on Sept 9 to explore the cross-border e-commerce business, according to Guiyang FTZ officials.

During the investigation, Yao Feiyang, deputy director of the Guiyang FTZ Administrative Committee, gave a brief introduction to the zone's latest developments and resource endowment.

He said the Guiyang FTZ is actively optimizing its business environment for the development of cross-border e-commerce to foster the further growth momentum of relevant enterprises. "We hope to deepen the mutual cooperation with Ensure Group in the field of cross-border e-commerce to promote Guizhou's export-oriented economy," he added.

Yan Shucheng, member of the Party Working Committee of Guiyang FTZ, outlined the zone's relevant policies on cross-border e-commerce.

It's been reported that the Ensure Group is the largest retailer of medicines, health care products and daily necessities as well as maternal and infant products in Guizhou. Its registered customers have exceeded 5 million.

Wang Chunlei, president of Ensure Group, said the group was exploring the cross-border e-commerce industry market with the help of the Guiyang FTZ.

"We will expand our supply chain and market-coverage by making full use of the zone's policy support. We plan to bring global products with high-quality and low-cost to Guizhou consumers," he added.
